Decatur interior designer and amateur cook Juan Montier is among the final four competing to be "The Next Celebrity Chef" in a contest set up by ABC's "The View."
On Wednesday, Montier wowed the judges, who included Joy Behar and '80s relic Robin Leach, with his crab cakes and Sweet Auburn risotto. Leach complained when they took the plate away from him after a single bite of crab cake. Well-known chef and judge Bobby Flay told Montier that he possesses "the charisma and smile of a celebrity chef."
"I am excited to numbness," Montier told Buzz.
Montier, who will be back to compete on "The View" on Wednesday, would like to eventually create his own cooking show, tentatively called "Chez Montier." "I've been fantasizing about a cooking show for a year," he added.
